Summary
A gold locket, c. 1790, of circular shape, with a glazed hair compartment in a royal blue and white line enamelled border surrounded by half pearls. The locket back compartment contains a photograph of a bearded gentleman. The locket is suspended from a black velvet ribbon with half pearl set circular enamelled clasp matching the locket.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
