Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Peacock and Domestic Poultry near a Statue in a Garden by Pieter Casteels III (1684-1749), 1731. Peacock stands in front of classical pedestal on which four cherubs play. To the left is an urn on pedestal and vista through trees of lake and hills beyond. Hens, cocks, a turkey, goose. Moulded gilt frame.

Presented by Lord and Lady Iliffe to the National Trust, together with the house and grounds of Basildon Park, and a substantial part of their collection of paintings, in 1979
