Summary

Oil painting on canvas, Harbour Scene by Moonlight, Italian (Neapolitan) School, late 17th century. Originally a tondo cut at the sides. The view shows numerous boats and an army of fishermen collecting the catch of crabs.

Provenance

Bequeathed to the National Trust, along with the house, furniture and other contents collected by Sir Walter Jenner, 2nd Bt (1860 - 1948), in 1949.
