Summary
Oil painting on panel, A Winter Landscape with Figures Skating, Dutch School, 17th century. Possibly Abraham Beerstraten (Amsterdam 1639 - ? 1666) or Anthonie Beerstraten (Amsterdam 1637 - c.1665). A view of a castle on the right with a frozen moat. There are groups of figures and horse drawn sledges on the ice and puffy white clouds in the dark sky.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust, along with the house, furniture and other contents collected by Sir Walter Jenner, 2nd Bt (1860 - 1948), in 1949.
