Summary
Open arm/elbow chair. Elm, c1670. The square padded seat is supported on twist-turned front legs, raised front stretcher and H stretchers on ball feet. The rear legs rise to form the padded back with a straight top rail. The curved arms with acanthine carving terminate in a notional scroll over twist-turned supports. Back and seat are upholstered in bargello pattern wool Lister needlework both with pink fringing. Both heels replaced with ball feet. Right arm support replaced.
