Summary
A joint stool, one of a pair of oak joint stools, England, possibly Salisbury, circa 1620 - circa 1630. Having a triple-reeded top, the rails all carved with a chain or cable motif above run-moulded lower edges, the legs turned with parallel balusters above a reel, and with rings, joined all round by moulded stretchers, and with block feet. The original turned feet lacking.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Edgar Graham Lister (1873 – 1956) with the house and collection of furniture in 1956.
