Summary
A George III mahogany and polychrome decorated four-posted bed with an arched canopy decorated in the Etruscan style with various urns, musical instruments and guiollche panels, supported by reeded, stiff-leaf and wheat-ear carved posts with square section legs and tapering feet, hung with floral-printed cotton curtains and with a boxspring and mattress. The front posts are cut at the capitals and possibly slightly reduced in height. the back feet are tipped. The rails wormed and later grained and the cornice probably redecorated.
