Purchased from the Collection of the Reverend A. G. Maister of Horsham by the donor's father, Colonel Rupert Alec-Smith (1913 - 1983) at the Old Rectory at Winestead (Alec-Smith Inventory 1957, p. 25, Appendix A No. 7) and thence by descent to his daughter Alexandra Alec-Smith who donated them in 2013 to the National Trust for Maister House (given by the Georgian Society for East Yorkshire, Colonel Rupert Alec-Smith and Barkers & Lee Smith Ltd in 1966)
