Summary
Enamel portrait miniatures, Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), King Louis XVI, King of France (1754–1793), Queen Marie-Antoinette, Queen of France (1755–1793) and an Unknown Man. Four white oval profiles on black background, all on scarlet background. Top, Franklin, head and shoulders, turned to the right, second row, left, Louis XVI, head and shoulders turned to the right, second row right, Marie Antoinette, head, turned to the left. Bottom row, Unknown man, head and shoulders, turned to the right.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
