Caption
This picture is evidently the work of two hands: one a specialist painter of flowers in elaborate vessels and settings; the other a professional portrait painter. The former, who painted much in the manner of the French flower-painter, Monnoyer, is possibly the Hungarian, Jakob Bogdani. The portraitist was probably the Dutchman, van der Vaart, who, in his earliest work, collaborated with Wissing.
