Summary
A dish and cover, enamel on copper, with ogee-shaped sides. Polychrome-painted with landscapes on a pink diaper ground on the sides, the upper surface with blue medallions on a yellow diaper ground. The interior is painted with flowers and the cover with medallions on a green diaper ground with foliate scrollwork. Made in Guangzhou (Canton), circa 1750.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
