Summary
Floor tile - Design 95 - Fragment - The design is vey similar to 'Design 48' (1991034). The tile has a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. The fleurs de lys on the outside of the circle have outer leaves which curve downwards and finish at a point. There are no surviving tiles showing the centre of the design. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. This design is not in the Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report. This tile fragment is in fair condition. Some slip remains but there are patches where it has worn away completely. There is no remaining slip. There is a lot of mortar attached around the outside sides.
