Summary
An historic floor tile in 'design 95', broken in to two known fragments, from a collection of tiles found at Lacock Abbey. The design is very similar to 'Design 48' (1991034). The tile has a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. The fleurs de lys on the outside of the circle have outer leaves which curve downwards and finish at a point. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. This design is not in the Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report. Together, the two fragments are about half of the original tile and are in fair condition.
