Summary
Floor tile - Design 63 - Fragment - The tile is heraldic and the design is the Arms of England. The glaze is brown to light brown. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment has no outer edges and is in fair condition. There is a hole in the top surface. Some slip is present but only a very small patch remains glazed. On the body there is very little glaze but there is a patch along one edge. On the reverse is a small section of a scoop.
