Summary
Floor tile - Design 63 - Fragment - The tile is heraldic and the design is the Arms of England. The glaze is brown to light brown. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment is a corner piece and is in good condition. The majority of the slip is present but only small patches are still glazed. The body has a very thin layer of glaze covering it. There is glaze along the outer edge. On the reverse is a section of a scoop.
