Summary
Floor tile - Design 63 - Fragment - The tile is heraldic and the design is the Arms of England. The glaze is brown to light brown. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment includes a corner and a side and is in very good condition. The majority of the slip is present and the slip and body is covered in a good layer of glaze which is still shiny. There is glaze along one of the outer sides. On the reverse are sections of two scoops.
