Summary
Floor tile - Design 60 - Fragment - The tile has two birds addorsed, either side of a thin stylised tree. The design is set diagonally. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment is a side piece from a tile which appears to have been purposely split in half. The fragment is in fair condition. A good amount of glaze remains but it is chipped and therefore thin. None of the slip is glazed but a small patch of the body has some thin glaze. There are patches of glaze on both outer edges.
