Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment has an outside edge and is in good condition. The majority of the slip is present and small patches are glazed. The body has a small amount of glaze. The surface of the tile has a light brown residue filling some of the pitted surface. On the reverse is evidence of a scoop.
