Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment includes a corner and is in very good condition. The majority of the slip is present and patches are glazed, particularly dented patches. The body has some glaze but it is very thin and patchy. There are small patches of glaze on the edge of the tile.
