Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). This tile fragment includes a corner, although it is damaged, and is in fair condition. A good amount of the slip is present but it is mostly chipped and patchy. Very little of the slip is glazed. Very small patches of the tile body are glazed. There is a small amount of glaze along one of the outside edges.
