Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). This tile fragment includes a corner and is in fair condition. Some of the slip is present, particularly the circle, but most is thin and patchy. None of the slip is glazed. Very little, if any, of the tile body is glazed. There are patches of glaze along both outside edges and some on the reverse too.
