Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). This tile fragment is in good condition. The majority of the slip is present but there is very little glazed, only a small dent. The tile body has no glaze on it. On the reverse it appears some layers of the tile have broken away, making the fragment thin.
