Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). This tile fragment is a side piece and is in very good condition. The majority of the slip is present and has a good layer of glaze covering it. The tile body has a good layer of glaze. On the reverse is the edges of a concave patch, suggesting evidence of a scoop.
