Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). This tile fragment is a side piece and is in good condition. Most of the glaze remains and mostly glazed. On the body there is some glaze but there is a lot of grey material and it is difficult to determine if it is stuck to the glaze or where the glaze has completley worn away. Along the original edge there is a patch of glaze.
