Summary
Floor tile - Design 48 - Fragment - The tiles have a diagonal cross with floriate arms in a circle with fleurs de lys terminals. Potentially mid 13th to early 14th century. (Group F – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). The tile fragment has two outside edges and a corner, but the corner is missing. It is in good condition. The majority of the slip is present, but patches have worn away. There is very little glaze on the slip and the body of the tile. On the reverse is a circular scoop.
