Summary
Floor tile - Design 30 - Fragment - The tile has a Miserere script design. The edge of the tile is straight to slight bevel. The glaze is dark green over the body and light green-yellow over the inlay. Likely dates to the 15th century. (Group D – Burnett-Brown Tile Collection Report). Two of two parts of a tile and this is the bottom left corner. The tile part is in stable condition as, apart from the little remaining slip, the design and imprint is significantly worn. The majority of slip is missing but a couple of patches remain and have a little glaze on them. There is no glaze elsewhere on the top surface. There is a patch of glaze along the left edge. The bottom edge has a chunk of mortar stuck to it.
