Summary
Black shiny, possibly waxed cotton, sword bag with a broken black leather strap and metal buckle fastening on the flap at the opening. The interior is cream chamois leather with a red cotton drawstring. Fabric is worn and abraded in small patches, with a large tear in the fabric near the top. Element of a Royal Household uniform worn by George Abraham Gibbs as King George V's Treasurer of the Household 1921–1928. Found stored in large, flat tin trunk NT17229.
