Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Called John D'Arcy Osborne, really The Hon. John Darcy (1659 - 1688/9 ?), or possibly Robert Darcy, 7th Baron Conyers & 3rd Earl of Holdernesse (1681 - 1722), attributed to Gerard Soest (Soest c.1600 – London 1681), circa 1665/75. A full-length portrait in a red coat, white undergarment, & shown as a commander, with a baton in his right hand; plinth with a plumed helmet to the right.
