Summary
A colour card of a barn in the background with animals grazing nearby. In the middle distance is a pair of horses pulling a plough guided by a ploughman. In the foreground are another pair of horses, pulling a seed rake guided by a man with a short sword on his belt, while another man has a bag of seed and is sowing. Separately at the bottom, there is a depiction of eight men, one of whom is on stilts, while the others appear to be in two groups playing marbles. Beneath is the explanatory text 'B123. September. Ploughing, sowing, harrowing; marbles and stilts', 'Add. MS. 24098, f.26b', 'British Museum', 'Printed by Waterlow & Sons Limited. London'. On the reverse is 'Printed in England'
