Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mrs Tickell (Sarah Ley, Mrs Richard Tickell (1770-1811) by George Romney (Dalton-in-Furness 1734 – Kendal 1802), before 1789. A half-length portrait, head turned slightly to right; wearing a white muslin dress and a large straw hat with black and white ostrich feathers, her powdered hair falling over her shoulders.
