Summary
Ensignette No.1 miniature folding rollfilm camera by Houghton-Butcher. Black painted aluminium body, leather unpleated bellows. Brilliant finder to left of lens. Markings: Camera is engraved with name "Ensignette No-1". Inside back cover is coloured label with loading instructions. Patent numbers for 1907 and 1920 are engraved above the lens.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
