Summary
A Butcher Cameo folding plate camera. The main body is wood with a black leather covering and black leather handle. Nickel plated fittings and semi-matt black enamel. Black leather bellows; single extension. Metal drop bed baseboard, removable wooden back for the ground glass screen. Focus by moving front standard along runners using spring clamps. Focusing screen with folding hood. Brilliant viewfinder. "Flexo" shutter release. Inside back of camera is red velvet lining. Lens - Goerz Tenastigmat in Compur shutter. There are two tripod bushes for horizontal and vertical use. Markings: Embossed in leather handle: "Cameo". Metal plate on standard: "Cameo". Shutter: "Compur".
