Summary

Carved overmantel in oak, C17. Centre panel of 5 coats of arms of the Dalston family. Flanked by twin columns; capitals with panels of lion's head above corded swags. Scrolled brackets with scale carving. Upper frieze of chevrons, lower frieze of thistles and foliate arabesques.
