Summary
A printed Indian cotton palampore, lined with a yellowed fine cotton lawn. The design is edged with a golden yellow border and the main design is of various stylized red flowers and there are several different types of birds in the central section including peacocks. In the centre of the design is a vase of flowers. the vase has 3 figures in a Grecian style and a squirrel holding a nut is to its right, there is a seam running through the centre of this vase. the seams are all hand sewn. would have been used as either a bed covering or a wall hanging.
