Summary
Oil painting on canvas, St James's Palace with a View of Pall Mall, British (English) School, possibly William James (fl. London 1754-1771), 18th century. It is related to an etching and engraving by Thomas Bowles III (who also published it; see S. O'Connell, 1753) and an example is in the British Museum. There are other versions of the painting in the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
