Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] Oil painting on canvas, Rose Bridges, Mrs Richard Onslow (m. 1726; d.1727), British (English) School, circa 1726/7. A sculptured oval portrait of the wife of Lt. Colonel Sir Richard Onslow (brother of Speaker Arthur Onslow) from 1726 till her death the following year. Her sister Ann Bridges was married to Speaker Arthur.
Provenance
Purchased by the Ministry of Public Building and Works in 1963 from the 6th Earl, Transferred to the National Trust in 1977.
