Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sarah Eyans, Mrs Arthur Jones (1622/3-1698), British (English) School, 1658. a painted oval half-length portrait of a young woman, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, she has long brown hair, falling in ringlets on her shoulders, and is wearing a white dress and blue cloak which she holds at her breast with her left hand. She has double pearl drop earrings, a single strand pearl necklet, and a jewel at her breast. Dark brown tree (?) in the left background and distant horizon with cloudy sky on the right.
