Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Saint Rose of Lima (1586-1618) with a Lamb, Peruvian School, possibly 18th century. A three-quarter length image of a young woman, turned to the left, seated holding a lamb on her lap with her right hand and holding a posy of flowers in her left hand. She wears a hat with upturned brim, a sheepskin blouse beneath a dark blue cloak lined with scarlet. A sunburst nimbus behind her head with a tree forming a circular mass around it. View of cloudy sky on both sides.
