Oil painting on canvas, The Reverend William Cremer (1663/4-1736) by Mary Beale (Barrow 1633 – London 1699), signed, bottom right on stone oval: Maria Beale Pinxit, circa 1692. A painted oval half-length portrait turned half to the left in a painted oval, wearing a black cloak and plain white cravat.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
