Summary
A musical box disc: 'The Old Kentucky Home Goodnight'. The round brass disc has metal tags, which in turn pluck the steel comb giving the desired notes. The positions of the tags give the melody. Manufactured by Polyphon Musikwerk Liepzig, Germany, c.1890-1914.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
