Oil painting on canvas, Still Life with Game by Frans Snyders (Antwerp 1579 - Antwerp 1657), 1640s. On a table before a large window is a dead roe deer, lobster and fruit; beside hangs a boar; the heads of two dogs sniff the game at the bottom right corner.

Accepted in lieu of tax on the death of Admiral the Hon. Sir Herbert Meade-Fetherstonhaugh (1875-1964) in 1965 and transferred to the National Trust by HM Treasury, 1985
