Summary
Part of a dress and petticoat; Dress in the open robe style of the 1780s of ivory ribbed silk with vertical stripes of brocaded patterns; alternated with narrow bands of leopard print design in bright yellow and brown, small bouquets of roses in red, pink and green over vertical soft brown ribbons of chenille. Pointed front bodice with large hooks and eyes (later), pleated robings surrounding the oval neckline and base of sleeves. Dress much altered, bodice and skirt, with hems turned up for possible fancy dress. 1750 - 1780 (circa)
