Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir George Throckmorton, 6th Bt (1754-1826) in the style of George Romney (Dalton-in-Furness 1734 – Kendal 1802). Inscribed along the top in gold lettering: SIR GEORGE THROCKMORTON BORN AT WESTON/ COM. BUCKS SEPT 16 1754 DIED AT WESTON 27 OF JULY/ 1826. BURIED AT WESTON. A half-length portrait, turned to right, gazing to the right, wearing a grey powdered wig, and wearing a plum high-collard coat with yellow lining and a white stock.
