Inscribed with married name of sitter: WIFE TO HUMPHREY PAKINGTON ESQr./ of HARVINGTON COM. WORCESTER. A head-and-shoulders portrait of Abigail, daughter of Henry Sacheverall and wife of Humphrey Pakington, as an elderly woman, in black embroidered dress with slash sleeves and a large elaborate lace collar with gold and jewelled necklace.
