Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Lady Elizabeth Somerset, Marchioness of Powis (1633/4-1690/1), English School, circa 1688/91. A three-quarter-length portrait in Peeress's robes, seated to right with a coronet on her lap. Lady Elizabeth Somerset was the daughter of Edward Somerset, 2nd Marquess of Worcester and Elizabeth Dormer. She married William Herbert, 1st Marquess of Powis, son of Percy Herbert, 2nd Baron Powis and Elizabeth Craven, on 2 August 1654. She died on 16 March 1690/91.
