Oil painting on canvas, Sir John Yate, 4th Bt (c.1660 - 1690), English School, circa 1680, inscribed with name of the sitter, mid-left: 'Sr: John Yate'. A half-length portrait of Sir John Yate, in dark cloak and lace cravat and long flowing wig in sculptured oval. Sir John Yate, 4th Bt was the son of Sir Charles Yate, 3rd Bt and Frances Gage.
