Summary
The left hand top drawer From a George III style tallboy top section (NT13550.2). The bottom has been repaired with cloth and has second shrinkage spilt. Metal oval backplate to D-shaped handle. Backplate with twisted rope rim, oval raised centre with tear drop decoration. Lock with no key. Inlays of straight bands of ebony and boxwood form an Oxford style frame around the edge of the drawer front.
