Summary
Money scales in cut from solid fruitwood box. Tooled border on the lid and rose and crown decoration. Swan neck iron beam of square cross section, pierced pointer, applegreen cords, brass pans. Classic bird like hook on the lid. Typical set of the London makers of the late 17th century. Hook hinges on lid have broken. Woodwork damage to box.
