Summary
Japanese bronze incense burner in the shape of an elephant with a pagoda shaped howdah with Ho-Ho bird on top. Other Cast decoration including a hanging panel each side with a dragon on one side and a bird on the other. Compressed head. Japanese stamp on base. Pagoda acts as lid and lifts to reveal compartment for wick.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
