Summary
English 17th Century skillet of bell metal on three legs. Features a long handle cast with 'S. P. Warner' on top. S P refers to the quantity and Warner refers to the Warner foundry operating in London from the mid-18th to early 19th Century. (Information provided by Roderick Butler, Collector and Author of 'English Bronze Cooking Vessels and their founders 1350-1830') In notebook no.4, page 20 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Anns Room 35. Old English Bell metal tripod skillet with long handle and name S. P. WARNER.'.
